Sadly, rescue's are kept very busy and there is always a need for assistance and so many opportunities for you to help!

Donate your time! Volunteers are the life's blood of a rescue whether they are fundraising; staffing a booth at an event; transporting rescue animals to and from the vet, home visits, and other agencies; being a dog walker at your local SPCA; being a foster parent for the many rescues without a building to work out of; and just spreading the word. Rescues need help in many areas and are always looking for compassionate, dedicated people to join in and help out.

Donate monetarily! Many animals that come into rescue are in desperate need of medical attention and often have severe health issues facing them and a rescue has to be sure that every animal they take in gets the utmost of care. This usually leads to some very big veterinary bills. Donated funds are what keep a rescue running and many rescues have charitable status which means you can get a tax receipt.

Donate to the wish list! Many rescues have a "wish list" posted on their website detailing the different items they are sorely in need of, anything from collars to kibble, dog beds to crates. Check out the "wish list" of your favourite rescue and drop off a load of much needed supplies.
