Hi Lucky and family!
This is a good step, Sarah!
The boys and I are sending our healing thoughts Lucky's way and hoping for a good outcome on the 19th
There are a number of ads this week for glucosamine in the flyers and a good thing to take with it is MSM.
MSM helps minerals, vitamins and nutrients assimilate in the body.
I give the boys about a 1/4 tsp twice a day in their shredded veggies or another way is in some yogurt as well.
Hugs to Lucky and keep us posted!

Re: Poor Lucky
We have an appointment November 19th at the University of Guelph.
Hopeful things don't progress to much over the next few months, I am going to get some glucosamine at Costco tomorrow so hopefully that will help

Poor Lucky :(
Oh my, Sarah!
I kinda wonderied if it wasn't the patella
Pugsley had a weird experience too and it sound very
close to what Lucky was going through
I haven't had to have the pugs in for surgery since Pugsley
was about 1 yr old At that time it was about 1000.00
So I'm not surprised by your quote as Pugsley's surgery was well
over 15.5 yrs ago!
BUT try Guelph, if you can go down there with her, maybe being a teaching school it may be a little less!
I can travel with you if you want, but it would definitely be worth chk'g out!
Hope to see you and the girls tonite and we can talk !!

Poor Lucky
So we were at the vet today, lucky's luxating patella has caught up with her.
The vet said her knee is in rough shape and she was trying to get the patella to sit in the grove but every time she moved the leg it would pop back out again
So she needs to have the surgery as soon as possible.
I got a quote from Dr Bouck's office for 1600......
Wondering if anyone else knows an orthopedic vet in the area I could call for a quote?
